How to Plant Cannabis Seeds Indoors? 2019 Update

Growing from seed is all about the quality of your seeds. Plants will never be better than the seeds they grew from. Back in the day, there weren’t any seed shops, so seeds were saved from exceptional buds, but it was all a crapshoot with a lot of trial and error. Luckily, now we know better.

Starting from seed isn’t difficult and you don’t need to be an experienced gardener, but the process is a journey in stages, not a direct flight. Cannabis plants are perfect for growing from seed because they have a short life cycle. That being said, be prepared to check your plants every day for moisture, insects, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and light.

Germination is the process in which a new plant begins to grow from a seed. Also referred to as “popping,” germination is the very first step in starting your cannabis garden.

When acquiring seeds, you want to make sure they are matured and that they appear dark brown with lighter accents and a hard feel. You don’t want a seed that feels fresh and looks green, which indicates that the seed hasn’t reached full maturity.

Once you have your cannabis seeds, make sure you have the space necessary to allow your plants to grow and be healthy. Don’t pop seeds when you are unsure of your grow space, time availability, or intention with your garden.

Germinating the Seeds
1.Soak the seeds
2.Wet one paper towel and put it on a plate
3.Put the seeds 1⁄2 inch (1.3 cm) apart on the towel
4.Wet other paper towel and place it over the seeds
5.Store the seeds at 70 to 85 °F (21 to 29 °C)
6.Keep the paper towels moist
7.Wait for the seeds to germinate

Fill the pots with moist potting soil
Have you chosen the desired grow pot? Then fill the pot ¾ with moist, loose and airy potting soil.

Step 2 – make a small dimple
Make a dimple in the potting soil. You do this simply by putting a pencil in the ground.

Step 3 – place the cannabis seed in the dimple
Use a tweezers to put the pot seed in the dimple. The root sting (germinated root from the seed) should point downwards. Is the weed seed stuck to the moist paper towel? Don’t pull the seed but spray the seed with water again. You will see that the marijuana seed is now easily released.

How deep to plant germinated cannabis seeds in soil?
The dimple most be 0.5 to 0.6 cm deep. Make sure the dimple does not get deeper than 0.6 cm and not shallower than 0.5 cm.

Step 4 – cover the ground
Once the weed seed is in place, gently cover it with soil. Enough to block the light, but not too much. Do not press the ground but cover the seed gently. The seedlings are ready to grow.

How long doe weed seeds take to grow?
Seedlings normally emerge 24 to 72 hours after the germinated seeds where planted.

LIGHT: For healthy vegetation marijuana needs over twelve hours of light per twenty-four hour period. Indoors the cannabis grow light is controlled by you with timers. Outdoors germination must be delayed until the plants can be exposed to more than twelve hours of daylight and receive at least eight hours of direct sunlight per day.

GROWING MEDIUM: Organic growers will use some kinds of soil every time inside or out. However, soil isn't the only choice. Neutral mediums that are entirely nutrient dependant include coconut coir, perlite, vermiculite or rock wool. Aeroponics, purely hydroponic or deep water culture do not use mediums at all. The suspended root matrix gets nutrients directly from the nutrient mix.

AIR: For strength and proper exchange of gases, cannabis requires fresh moving air. Outdoors this is no problems your plants will be exposed to breeze and gale alike. Indoors your plants will need a fresh air intake, stale air exhaust and inline fan for grow tent for air movement. Still, environments encourage pests, moulds and weak growth. A buildup of aspirated gases will stunt plant growth.

Have a happy growing!

Does a carbon filter remove smell? 2019 Updated

What is an Activated Carbon Filter? Activated carbon filters are small pieces of carbon, typically in granular or powdered block form, that have been treated to be extremely porous. It is so cavernous, in fact, that just one gram of activated carbon can easily have a surface area of 500m2 or higher. Vast surface area enables these carbon filters to adsorb exponentially more contaminants and allergens than traditional carbon. Adsorption is a distinct process where organic compounds in the air or water react chemically with the activated carbon, which causes them to stick to the filter. The more porous the activated carbon is, the more contaminants it will capture. These filters are most notably used to remove hazardous compounds in home air purification systems. HOW LONG DOES ACTIVATED CARBON LAST? The Activated Carbon filter is a very important air filter in all the air purifier systems, but it can only last for a short time. Typical Activated carbon filter (or Charcoal filter...
